Resource Conservation Workshop

Each year, we provide at least one scholarship for a Wake County high school student to attend the Resource Conservation Workshop week-long camp held at NC State University.  This exciting summer program is a fantastic opportunity for high school students to join over 100 other students from across the state and spend an intensive week exploring conservation topics at NCSU. Candidates are nominated by teachers and counselors and must submit an essay detailing their interest in natural resource conservation. Final selection of students is made by the Wake Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors to send the best of the best from Wake County.

The full cost of this competitive scholarship to the week-long workshop is around $500. Help us send students with your tax deductible contribution to the scholarship fund, using the donation options on this page. You may give any amount you like, including the full scholarship amount. Please indicate with your donation that it is for a “student scholarship.” For questions, please contact us at fod.wake@gmail.com.

If you are a student interested in applying, contact the District Office for full information.
