Wake SWCD Board of Supervisors monthly meeting was today. The board approved cost share contracts, voted on audit reports, strategized on building local coalitions to procure additional funding sources, and announced the receipt of two large grants that will enhance conservation and water quality work in the Jordan and Falls Lake Watersheds. The board also (reluctantly) accepted the resignation of Supervisor John Phelps after more than 34 years of service. John’s not going away though; he’ll be transitioning to Friends of the District. Thanks John for your service so far and your service to come.
