CHEESE PLEASE! promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience at the Market this Wednesday, August 1. This festival, held in conjunction with the American Cheese Society’s (ACS) national conference, will highlight the best of North Carolina’s artisan cheeses with tastings, raffles, recipes, a grilled cheese contest, and more!

Meet some of our areas finest artisan cheese makers and sample their farm fresh products. Cheese makers include: Calico Farmstead Creamery, Chapel Hill Creamery, Goat Lady Dairy, Hillsborough Cheese Company, and Holly Grove.
Grilled Cheese Cook-Off Featuring Downtown’s Top Chefs
Help crown the first Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market Grilled Cheese Cook Off Champ. Downtown chefs will challenge the traditional notion of grilled cheese using cheeses from our guest vendors and other market ingredients. Participating restaurants include buku, Busy Bee Cafe, Capital Club 16,
Gravy, Market Restaurant, Sarah Cecilia’s Good Food Company, Zely & Ritz.*
Local Beer and Cheese Pairings with the North Carolina’s Brewers Guild
Taste and learn the best ways to pair NC’s great homegrown products–beer and cheese–for a delicious and refreshing treat. Sampling from 10:30am to1:30pm, while supplies last.
Live Music by Wylie Hunter & the Cazadores Enjoy this great folk rock band programmed by Hopscotch Music Festival from 10:30am-1:30pm.
